Steve Brady and Lester Price cruised to the title in the doubles division at Shooters on Sunday with little trouble. Steve and Lester were on their game most of the day and didn't give much opportunity for anyone to beat them. Dave Rogers and Mike Payne came in second and continue their remarkable climb from social level players up to a highly competitive doubles team. Dave and Mike were defeated in the winners bracket by Steve and Lester, but came out of the losers bracket to get their opportunity at them again. Bryan Chapman and Shaun Chapman finished third and was defeated by Dave and Mike in the finals of the losers bracket. Bryan and Shaun showed a lot of promise and we hope to see them in future ACO Louisville events. Overall, it was a beautiful day at Shooters!

Kyle Treadway defeats Phil Harmon in 3 games to
take the Singles title championship
17 year old Kyle Treadway defeated Phil Harmon in the finals to win the singles competition at Shooters. In the finals of the winners bracket things were not going Kyle's way when he found himself down 17-0 in game one to Shaun Lehman from New Albany, IN. At that point, Kyle took it to another level and went on a 21-0 run to win game one. In game two Kyle jumped out to a 17-0 lead and held on to come out of the winners bracket. Phil Harmon defeated Shaun Lehman in the finals of the losers bracket to get his shot at the very hot Kyle Treadway. Phil pushed Kyle to three games, but came up short to Kyle in the finals. Shaun Lehman finished third after having some time off and not playing as much as he usually does, but as always still a tough out for anyone. Look for Shaun to take his game up a notch in the next couple of weeks as the Maize Kraze is just around the corner. Bobby Harmon came in fourth place and was defeated by his brother Phil Harmon.

**Kyle Treadway continues to become a better player and looks to become a star one day in the world of cornhole. If you have never seen Kyle play before, I encourage you to come out to the Maize Kraze on the 18th of July and watch him. Kyle holds the bag in the palm of his hand with only his pointer finger straight. The other fingers are folded with the bag setting on them. His thumb does not grip the bag either. The bag is just sitting on his hand. Some players tried to throw this way and could not even get it to the other board. Kyle said that it is the way he has always thrown his bags and he got use to it. He definitely has. Kyle has been in the money in several tournaments over the past few months and look for him to be in even more coming up.

**Other Notes One of the biggest upsets of the afternoon was David Rogers defeating Steve Brady in the singles tournament. David is quickly earning the nickname "Kryptonite" because he can slow hot players down in a hurry. David's style is like kryptonite to a current Superman like player. Mike Payne was defeated 21-20 to the fourth place finisher Bobby Harmon. Also, there were several new players; Brandon and Chris Stansbury of Battletown, KY shows lots of promise and will get only better with more tournament experience.
