After losing their first match of the day, Bobby Brooks and Keith Blair fought their way out of the loser's bracket and won the Shooter's "Rising Stars" Showdown. Keith and Bobby were defeated by Chris Benningfield and Chad Newman in their first round match up, but that wasn't the last time they saw each other. Chris and Chad were undefeated in the winner's bracket and Keith and Bobby worked their way out of the loser's bracket to meet each other in the finals. Keith and Bobby had their work cut out for them by having to defeat Chad and Chris in match play twice. That is what they did. Both Bobby and Keith found their games at the right time and came out twice in both matches to win the "Rising Stars" Showdown. Steve Adams and Mike Roy from Cincinnati, Ohio displayed some good cornhole and finished third. Overall, it was a great tournament with some players that definitely on their way to becoming players to look out for at future ACO events.

Shaun Padgett, a newcomer from Paoli, IN, came in second and put on a good show throughout the tournament. Stacy Ritter defeated Mike Payne to come in third place. Stacy and Mike had a very exciting game in the loser's bracket where she defeated Mike 21 - 19. A fan favorite and one of ACO Louisville's most loyal and dedicated players, Mike Payne had a great singles tournament run. Overall, the singles tournament was lots of fun with players getting some good practice on the ACO Tournament Series boards and with the Players Choice Bags.
